Grass Clippings had a bold idea: to create a par-3 golf league that would bring new energy to the sport. They asked us to help bring this vision to life by building on their existing brand while creating a unique identity for Grass League that captured the excitement and intensity of the competition.
We started by digging deep into what made Grass Clippings special. By understanding their core values and vision, we were able to design a logo and wordmark for Grass League that truly reflected the spirit of the game. We took elements from their original logo, like the distinctive curves of “The Blade,” and combined them with bold, dynamic lettering that symbolized the high stakes and fast pace of the league.
To support the league’s big ambitions, including partnerships like the Grass Clippings Open with Bleacher Report, we developed a framework that kept the brand consistent while allowing each team and partnership to stand out. We chose typefaces and colors that were both fresh and rooted in the brand’s heritage, ensuring everything worked together seamlessly.
In the end, we created a brand for Grass League that’s ready to take the sport to the next level. With a clear identity and a strong foundation, the league is set to grow and inspire a new generation of golf fans.
